Privacy notice
Version 2026-10 · Plain-language summary. This is a draft and is not legal advice.
What we collect
Your email address (to sign you in), your name and school if you add them, your term dates, and the courses, deadlines, grading breakdowns, scores and study hours you enter.
What we don't keep
Uploaded syllabus files are read once to find deadlines and then discarded. We don't store them.
AI processing
To read a syllabus, Scholr sends the syllabus text, and only that text, to an AI model provider. Your name, email, grades and other records are never sent. Syllabi are course documents, not student records.
Who can see your data
Only you. Each student's data is isolated in the database itself, so one account can never read another's. We do not sell your data or share it with your school, instructors or advertisers.
Your rights
You can download everything Scholr holds about you, or permanently delete your account and all its data, at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate.
Schools and FERPA
Scholr is used directly by students. If a school partners with Scholr, a separate agreement will set out how Scholr protects education records under FERPA as a school official.
